Key Words is a small woman-owned consultancy with offices in Washington, DC and Gilford, NH.
Deborah Kennedy founded Key Words in 1998 to provide proposal writing and materials editing services for nonprofit organizations in education, social services, nonprofit management, and the arts. The business has grown to include instructional program design, professional development for teachers in second/additional language contexts, instruction in English-language business writing, and advocacy for programs, services, teachers, and learners in adult basic education and English as an additional language contexts.
In addition to her work as an advocate, editor, and education professional, Ms. Kennedy provides subject matter expertise in adult learning and language skill development, as well as thought leadership related to the scope and nature of the adult education system in the United States.
